Health - Herbal kingdom

Most of the herbs and their derivatives, do not suit packet of common man and are available only at selected high profile sales outlets, apart from being quite costly. But despite all such factors, their efficacy and utility cannot be overlooked and denied. If your pocket does not permit you to you costly herbs, you can easily substitute them with less costly which, in many cases, have the same beneficial properties.

While using any herbs for therapeutic uses, it must be ascertained which part of the herbal plant is to be used. It is rarely that a plant is used as a whole but it is quite often, that either leaves/flowers/fruits/rind, stem are used, whether singly or jointly. Remove dust, any other foreign matter clinging on the plant’s useable part, either by washing or dusting it.

Even the vegetables growing underneath the land or above it are used for medicinal uses, for instance garlic, onion, bitter cabbage, etc. all the spices used in kitchen are also used in various eating delicacies and medicines. Hence, when we talk of herbs, it includes all fruits, vegetables also. Plant kingdom it too vast and varied and all the plants are not used for processing medicines, because some of them are poisonous and harmful, carry health hazards. Further, it may be noted that certain herbal plants can cause reactions and allergic to some persons, hence all such plants must be with utmost care, if at all required.
