Aromatic Skin Care
Skin envelops our all body organs and the first part of a body that is viewed by a viewer in skin. When we talk of skincare, we imply face, neck, hands and feet, out of which face is the barometer of our expressions, reactions and sensitivity, hence ladies always accord top most priority to face, followed by hair, hands and feet. If whole body is massaged, the masseur will massage from top to toes. It may be remembered that stress free mode of life is a prerequisite for skin care.
First of all, dip a towel in hot/lukewarm water and rub over face hands and free and wipe out and cleanse these parts so that pores of skin get opened and cleaned. Mix rose water, lemon water, glycerin a few drops of lavender oil (if well tolerated and not reactive). Apply over face, hands and feet. This is a meant for summer’s dry and hot winds but during winter and chilly weather, add a TSP of almond oil so that dryness and roughness of skin could be removed. Let the solution remain applied for an hour or so where after the apart should be wiped with lukewarm water. Do not use very hot water over face.
Inducing Sound Sleep: Some illness discomfort, mental agitation, overworks generated physical fatigue or even an unknown and undetected factor could form basis of insomnia. If you enjoy sound sleep, despite the presence of all/some of the said factors or/and without aid of tranquilizing/sleeping tablets, alcohol, drugs, you are perhaps a lucky guy, for sleep is, by far, the best and most cost-effective tonic that is capable of taking away your mental and physical problems. Non-addictive sedative, herbs and decidedly a better source for inducing sound sleep. Length of sleep is no measuring rod for healthy and refreshing sleep. If you get up in a gayful, happily, refreshing mood after sleep, however short it might be, you will start your daily with a better and cheerful way.
Try following herbs, if you are not allergic to them.
Dried Lemon Balm -15 gms
Dried Skullcap -60 gms
Dried Vervain -30 gms
Dried Wood Betony -60 gms
Mix these herbs and prepare and infusion (as described earlier under relevant heading) from 2 TSP to make one cup. You can take up to such 4 cups (maximum) in 24 hours to get rid of tension and stress.
For insomnia use of the following herbs
Hops -30 gms Mix these herbs
St. John’s wort -30 gms and use infusion,
Dried Vervain -30 gms as mentioned
Dried Skullcap -60 gms above
Dose and frequency being the same as in case of anxiety. You may add some honey to sweeten the liquid (infusion) since hops are quite bitter.
